Yes, it's true ... I'm a pavholic aka pavlova's lover. I can't get my eyes(actually crave) off from pavlova! This whole week, almost every night my dessert is/are pavlovas. Beginning of the week, on Sunday, I've tried Nigella's Coppuccino Pavlova recipe. A great opening for a pavlova's week since I'm a coffeeholic.
I luv the bitterness taste of coffee's meringue that melt in your mouth and give the omphh moment (hehehe...am I overdescribe it, naah!). I use the same recipe as Nigella but I replace instant espresso powder with instant black coffee (Nigella insisted not to use instant coffee for this recipe). I can't find any instant espresso powder but Ben's Independent Grocer replied me, they got instant espresso powder. For taste-wise, this Cappuccino Pavlova makes me go gaga, hehehe.

My lil' bumblebee! See how he desperately wants his pavlova. I can't even took a single picture without his hands off. |
Then, on Monday the theme was fruit galore. Actually, I've made 8 mini pavlovas, different shape (which not really beautiful as what I wish). "It may not look really beautiful, it may not look fabulous on a plate, you may not want to take it's picture ... but you REALLY want to eat it". That's what Nigella said, well it's true. The matter is the taste. If previous I always to tops my pav with strawberries, now I made a lil' bit twist. I'm topping my pav with kiwis, cherries and also peach. Fresh fruits never fail as the best pav topping.
Tuesday (I truly crazy) pav theme was fruit-free, as what Nigella's said. I've made Salted Caramel Sauce to drizzle on the top of whiping cream and also tiramisu version. Its just really yummy. I just love it!

The warm Salted Caramel Sauce melts the whipping cream. I bet you, this sauce is tremendously dangerous because very addictive. |
*For Salted Caramel Sauce you can follow the recipe from Nigella.com, while the for Tiramisu topping here is my version:
* Cream cheese
* Icing sugar
- Mix both to make a moussy mixture.
- Spread over the pavlova.
- Garnish with milk chocolate curls.
And last but not least, I'm ending up my pav week with 'Cafe Latte Pavlova'. Yup, this is all because I need to fix my coffee dose. What a delightful moment, eating 'Cafe Latte Pavlova' with a cup of latte, it's bliss. Actually the topping recipe is very simple. All you need is whipping cream and 2 tbsp of latte. Beat the whipping cream until soft peak, then adding latte gradually until it mix well & thick. Decorate with cashew nut and cocoa dusting. Yummy, my coffee craving is fixed!
Got requested by my friend to make pavlova for our potluck this Sunday. Gosh, it's totally a pavlova's week. What can I say, I'm a pavholic!
