The BEST Aglio Olio!

I love food! I have always loved food. Basically ... I won’t turn away from good food (everybody does!). I was obsessed with food and the way it worked in the human body and mind. Thus, this brings me to this subject ...  the best Aglio Olio!   . I love Aglio Olio. Ever since I ate my first plate of Spaghetti Aglio Olio year ago at Serai Restaurant, I've become addicted to it. However, I find that not every restaurant cook it the way I like (like at Serai!).
Strangely I never thought of making it myself (but I managed to try the recipe!). Mind you, the dish isn't cheap at the place I described earlier. So, I surfed the net for the recipe and then went off to Jaya Grocer (OMC ... which located at Empire Subang Gallery yang dah meletup!) to get the ingredients.
Spaghetti Aglio Olio is a versatile dish which you can add stuffs like fresh tomatoes, prawn, scallop or anything to bulk it up and give variety to its taste. Otherwise, it tastes just as good on its own. I love mine with tons of garlic and parsley flakes and also slightly spicy. I made mine using Rachael Ray's recipe (because Nigella's don't have any!), which I improvised a bit. The recipe has the right punch (pinjam ayat Rima dari Bisous A Toi) ... garlicky, slightly spicy and has a salty flavor to it (can I brag my own recipe? hahaha)
Want the recipe??? Hehehe, I am being happy to share with you. You can browse at Fiza Express Resipi page for it.

Oh ... talking about food, I also prepared a pasta for Zafran; Star pasta Carbonara (I love to introduce him with different kinds of food menu). Guess what, he loves it! And somehow my hubby also like the Aglio Olio (even he's not really into Italian or Western food). There is a saying that you can reach a man's heart through his stomach. It always made me giggle to hear that, but truly it is not far from the truth. You don't have to be a great chef to make a nice, simple, homemade meal for your husband. You don't even have to have a lot of time. When cooking for your loved ones, remember it isn't about the food or the recipe. The important thing is that you are thinking of your loved ones, and showing him your love through your time and effort (even if it didn't take that long, or much effort!)

I love the star shape pasta, it is very cute!!!
